Can any body tell me how to use my cell phone as a server? The tech rep at my ISP said it was possible, but I wasn't interested at the time?

Hidden in your menus somewhere (depending on the version of Android you're using) there's a menu entry called 'WiFi Hotspot'. Turn this on, and your cellphone becomes a WiFi server. It's a lot slower than a real WiFi hotspot, and a lot more expensive, but good in an emergency when you need to look something up but you don't have WiFi handy.
