Is it possible to wrongly load blackpowder into brass casings?

i wouldnt imagine you COULD even pack enough powder into a brass case to destroy a modern ruger redhawk. but i figured id ask anyway and before anyone asks the inevetable...."why" my newly cerekoted redhawk5032 has some spots that were missed. so im thinking i could fire off some black powder rounds to kind of color in the little spot near the muzzle that was missed
