Something very subtle in that scripture that is often missed: the LORD said to my Lord when the word LORD is in all caps in the bible it signifies a place in the Old Testament where the Name of God Yahweh is substituted with the word Adonai. This was done so that the jews could never mistakenly take the name of the Lord in vain, when reading it. this quote in Matthew is taken from Psalms 110. So the wordage applies This speaking to the triune nature of God, for the revelation of Yahweh to man was the Revelation of the Father to man So in essence it is saying "The Father said to the Son" Matthew 22::41 While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, 42 saying, “What do you think about the Christ? Whose Son is He?” They said to Him, “The Son of David.” 43 He said to them, “How then does David in the Spirit call Him ‘Lord,’ saying: 44 ‘The LORD said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool” ’? 45 If David then calls Him ‘Lord,’ how is He his Son?” 46 And no one was able to answer Him a word, nor from that day on did anyone dare question Him anymore.

God is a Godhead (Trinity), one God in three Persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Persons refer to each as Lord. . Jesus is God. . The truth is that Jesus loves you and wants to bless your life freely :) Most of all, Jesus wants you with Him forever, and not in hell. So the only way to heaven and to avoid hell, is by believing in Jesus for eternal life (John 6:47), without adding any of your own works (Romans 4:5). Believe in Jesus to take you to heaven, and you will be in heaven, no matter what, guaranteed. That easy, thanks to Jesus! Tell Jesus that you thank Him that you will be with Him in heaven when you die, because you believe in Jesus! It is too late to be saved, after death.

If you look carefully you should see that "the Lord" actually uses small caps to spell "Lord", so: - Lᴏʀᴅ In most English translations of the Bible small caps are used to identify that the underlying word is the tetragrammaton, which we can describe as "the Hebrew name of God". Most appropriately-accredited scholars transliterate the tetragrammaton into English as - YHWH and with vowels added - Yahweh SO whenever you see Lᴏʀᴅ or Gᴏᴅ (small caps) in your Bible, be aware that it is referring explicitly to God, "Yahweh", and not to some other lord or god.

He took upon him human nature, and so became God manifested in the flesh; in this sense he is the Son of man and the Son of David. It behoves us above all things seriously to inquire, "What think we of Christ?" Is he altogether glorious in our eyes, and precious to our hearts? May Christ be our joy, our confidence, our all. May we daily be made more like to him, and more devoted to his service.
