Does bible really say donkeys & snakes can talk?
Jeremy: Numbers 22
Numbers 22:28 Then the Lord opened the donkey’s mouth, and it said to Balaam, “What have I done to you to make you beat me these three times?” Genesis 3:4 “You will not surely die,” the serpent told her. 5“For God knows that in the day you eat of it, your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

Yes it does
David at Your Service: One donkey (Num 22
One donkey (Num 22:28) and no snakes. The "serpent" which talked, was later turned into a snake. What this "serpent" looked like beforehand is anyone's guess.
Alexander
The common translations say "serpent," not specifically a snake.

A book of fiction can say anything and doesn't have to prove anything.
Godless Gazoo
Well....it says one snake and one donkey did. It also has a bush that's on fire do it.
Ricardo
And bushes also.

No the Bible does not say that donkeys and snakes can talk by themselves it says that in the garden of Eden. That the devil used a snake in a drawer ventriloquist act. And it says later in the Bible God used a donkey and a ventriloquist act. There's no teaching or doctrine anywhere in any Bible that says donkeys and snakes ever were used again in a ventriloquist act two times in the entire history of mankind we're animals were used in a ventriloquist act in the Bible and it was very clear in the Bible that they didn't do it by themselves. There is nothing unbelievable about the story it's made very plain that the animal didn't talk by itself.

Donkey's talk in Shrek.

The Bible is bullshit from cover to cover and this is no exception.
Truth is within you
People hear what they want to hear, see what they want to see.

And burning brush too. It doesn't just say that, it gives examples. Magically "possessed" they claim, or some other silly nonsense. There isn't much of merit in that bible.

I certainly hope you don't consider this a serious reason for you to reject God.
pit bulls bite
they could in the old days

It says what it says and we must first address the GENRE. However there is nothing of dogma or faith in any such stories and you can have any opinion you like. That is the Christian, and especially the Catholic teaching
Jim
No, the Bible does not say that donkeys and snakes can talk. The serpent in the Garden of Eden was a demon, not a snake. Balaam's donkey spoke with the power of God. Actually, the fact that donkey's don't talk is the point. To demonstrate the power of God. As far as virgins giving birth, the Bible actually specifically says that they don't. And Mary said to the angel, “How will this be, since I am a virgin?” (Luke 1:34)

You have to be a Christian, to believe that donkeys & snakes can talk?

No. That would be your Disney films, or Pixar.
.
Not literally - you have to read about it.

If God wills it. There is nothing impossible for God.
Hal
Nope, but of course God, being God, can intervene to cause unexpected things to happen according to His purposes, which are we are told higher than we can understand fully.
