Do you think it's normal to set dead animal remains on fire?

For example this one day me and my friend was walking to the library in Cleveland Ohio and I literally seen a dead decapitated bird head laying on the sidewalk and was like " what the **** " " is that real or fake?? " so when I took a closer look I realized that it was real and was gonna put on rubber gloves rap it up in news paper set it on fire ( to minimize the chances of somebody catching a disease ) walk away and wash my hands when I got to the library but when I got back it was gone. Is this normal or not and why??
