Georgia (state) does not get more snow than California. Not even close.

Where in each state do you mean? It depends on where in each state. California has more climate variation, but most of Georgia is Humid Subtropical except for the mountains in the north The California coast very rarely sees snow, and inland it snows a lot on the mountains of Northern and Southern California. Georgia doesn't get much snow due to being in the South, in most of Georgia snow is rare. Even in the Northern part of Georgia snow is rare except in the mountains.
