Why does it look like the skin in our fingers goes together when we get them really close?
Like if you're putting your index finger and thumb super close, but not touching. It looks like the skin is reaching out to grab it. Why does it do that?

I have never noticed that and just tried and it doesn't. I suggest it is time to put down the bottle, extinguish the funny looking thing you are smoking. put the LSD away for another night and get some sleep. I promise it will not happen again when you wake up.
