No one approves of my choice to adopt as i'm single?

Children who are legally available for adoption but are living in foster care are happy to have one parent rather than no parents.

It's your personal life choice..... i am not here to judge. And it would be incredibly generous of you to adopt a child in need of a home and parent. We don't know what children "should" have, really. I think a stable, loving home is great, regardless of whether a child has one or both parents.

Most adoption agencies will place children in a two parent home for the best interests for the child. You might want to look into private adoptions as a possibility, but then again, the one who is giving the child up for adoption may still want a two parent home rather then single. Maybe you can look into fostering children. You would need to have a good steady financial source for anything you do.

There are SO many children out there who grow up in foster homes... if you were to adopt a child, it'd be saving them. As long as you are financially stable and can provide them a loving home, adopting would be a fantastic decision :)

Plenty of single people adopt. There are tens of thousands of children in America alone who are desperate for a place to call home, so to say someone should be disqualified just because they aren't in a relationship is just plain old ignorant. However you should know that your chances of adopting a baby or toddler are about zilch, so you may want to focus on adopting a child over the age of five... In fact the older you go, the higher your chances of approval. You may also consider foster care; i.e. taking in children who are in desperate need of care between homes.

I think if they don’t pay your bills and there not gonna be responsible for your child then you should do what makes you happy!! Best of luck and I hope you follow your heart and adopt

Too chicken to talk to DSS about foster-to-adopt? Maybe you should have a cat.
