Is it true that we have a certain amount of time to use our advanced February food stamps, & then you can't use them anymore?
Someone told me yesterday that because of the government shutdown situation, & everyone getting food stamps early, that we have to hurry up & use them before February 12. Is that true?

Whatever is on your current SNAP card will remain there until you spend it. However, our future payments may be delayed. That doesn't mean that the program will end. So, hang onto your card. If worse comes to worse, because of Trump, contact your local government and ask for them to help out.

that "someone" is incorrect........the SNAP program ( there have been no "food stamps" for years ) has funding thru 02/19. but as of this writing, the March benefits have not been approved
