Does the West Virginia State Board of Education v. Barnette supreme court decision also apply to the national anthem?
I was reading about that supreme court decision and how Jehovah Witnesses wouldn't say the pledge of allegiance because it's against their beliefs.
My question is, does the West Virginia State Board of Education v. Barnette supreme court decision also protect those who do not wish to stand for the national anthem or only the pledge?

The Supreme Court decision on West Virginia State Board of Education v. Barnette states that is unconstitutional for public schools to compel students to salute the flag. This is for both the National Anthem and Pledge of Allegiance. It does not address whether a student is required to stand or if they can sit.
