Blue tongue skink diet?
What’s your idea of an “ideal” diet? And when it comes to protein, do I have to feed live insects or can they be canned?

One of the benefits of keeping a BTS is that they don't need live insects at all. Their protein needs can be met with a mix of high quality canned dog food, hard cooked eggs or cooked lean chicken or turkey meat. If you need to use something canned then get canned snails which is a favourite food of BTS's

No self respecting, bug eating lizard would consider eating anything dead. WTF would give you the idea that a skink would eat dead bugs?!
