My dog just threw up yellow and now is sleeping..I am worried shes not her usual playful self?

It’s bile. Don’t give her veg soup again, it obviously upset her stomach. Dogs need pretty simple food. Human being have much more complex digestive systems and can handle much more complex foods than dogs. A Tablespoon or so of the vege soup on her kibble would probably have been fine, but some veges, like onions, garlic, cruciferous veges, should not be fed to dogs. And salt, dogs should never get salt. Let her rest, give her lots of potty time and fresh water. If it were my dog, the next few meals would be cooked lean ground meat or ground turkey mixed with cooked white rice, about half and half or meat:rice 2:1. And she wouldn’t get a meal at all til she perked up.

As said, yellow is bile and would be caused by eating something their system didn't 'like' or from an empty stomach. Normally with an uncomplicated tummy upset, withholding food for a meal to allow the system to settle, is enough to put thngs right. Use boiled rice (or mashed potato if, like with mine, rice goes everywhere) and poached chicken with a little natural yogurt for the next few meals. If you can source goats yogurt, that would be best. If this continues and your dog is unusually lethargic, you may need to see your vet. And if your dog is a puppy, even more so. The soup may have caused this.

The yellow is bile. When was the last time she ate? What were the ingredients of the veg soup? Did you use onions or other foods she shouldn't eat? I would call the vet and ask if they think this is anything to worry about.

Did she eat this morning? Is she eating grass to stimulate the stomach to throw up? The yellow is just bile. Probably just an upset stomach. I don't have grass nor leaves on trees right now but my dogs eat elm leaves to throw up. found out elm leaves are a natural de wormer, too.
