No, to be honest. A lot of advertising influence is subconscious. Studies find that people who think they're immune to advertising influence actually aren't.

Yes, for a few reasons. One, I don't watch much TV - I lived for decades without one, precisely because it is filled with mindless trash and far too much advertising. I don't listen to radio for the same reason. I am an independent thinker with good critical thinking skills, I have read about 800 history books, and I am familiar with philosophy and science. I can't be brainwashed.
