Why are people telling journalists to learn how to code? Don't people realize that journalists are not smart enough?

Many journalists know how to code, but not all of them. Just because you may not have a particular skill set yourself does not give the right to insult others. My first coding class was in 1974. FORTRAN IV is useless today and more outdated than Windows XP and its blue screen of death.

53 journalists were murdered last year trying to report the truth. Many more have been imprisoned, tortured, threatened and intimidated. Then morons like you try to discredit their profession, shame on you.

You have a point there. Coding requires logical progression and critical thinking - two skills sorely lacking in a so-called "journalist".
