Are any home repair warranties reputable?

i flat out guarantee that they are profitable for the companies that issue them and for the salesmen who sell them. that means that, on average, you pay more in the long run over the cost of just having repairs made or items replaced when needed. that makes sense only for those who a) have no ability to do any of this themselves, or b) can not save money no matter what they do. In other words -- it's a ripoff. btw, extended auto warranties are the same
