Estimate of how much a small crack it a bumper would cost?

How did you rent a car without a credit card? Does your own policy not cover you driving a rental? If it's a one piece bumper you don't even want to know what it's going to cost.

there's no such thing as a "small crack" to Hertz. They'll replace the whole bumper, plus labor and out of service time. Figure on $1,000 minimum.

Will they even notice? I would say nothing. They do expect some wear and tear. and the crack in the bumper is not highly important...to safety.

Read your policy or call your insurance company. I wrecked a rental last year, over $5000 in damage because a coyote decided to run across the thruway. My deductible is $1000. I called my insurance agent and they told me it was totally covered by my liability and there’d be nothing out of pocket.
