Any suggestions for a decent "robot" vacuum for bare floors?

The Roomba sweeper is an amazing thing, and sweeping a floor is complicated enough to need a smart one. Just bite the bullet and buy the newest one that has the features you will want. I don't know why one needs to be wifi connected unless it has diagnostic capabilities, and you still have to dump the trash bin which fills up way too fast. You need one with a long battery life so that it can sweep everything on one charge. You would think that the the charging station would include a trash transfer. Like the roomba docks, a transfer connection is made, a door on the roomba opens and dirt is sucked out of the trash bin into a large trash bag/bin on the charger. All powered by 120 vac.

A hungry dog. Ours got fed enough, and yet it would eat sawdust from the shop floor, ants, dust, flowers out of sheer boredom I figure.

Love my roomba. We have an older model and it works great. They will need to empty the roomba after every use. You can program it to start off at the same time everyday, I have a large ground floor with wood, tile and large area rugs. It can do it all .

None of them work properly, even the most expensive ones.
