New Nerf Rival MXVII 10k won't work. Help!?

I have working batteries in my new Nerf Rival MXVII 10k, but it won't fire. The hopper door is closed all the way and the hopper is seated correctly. There is no jam that I can see. Any ideas? Thanks.
