What do you think of this?

I think you need to find another place to shop

There is no "Expiration" date -- there is a "sell by date" and a "Best Before" date. Those dates are suggestions. Food is good for long after those dates. If you don't want to buy, you can take a hike to somewhere else.

So don't shop there.

I think you have a lot to learn. Food doesn't "expire". If you mean "use by" or "best before" dates then use your own common sense before you buy food there. If you can,t do that you shouldn't be buying your own food. If you are unhappy about the goods offered for sale then shop somewhere else.

Those dates are NOT "expiration" dates. Non-perishable food doesn't "expire". There is nothing illegal about selling food beyond those dates because those dates have NOTHING to do with food safety. It is your responsibility to check the dates if you care about them. If you don't like the store, don't shop there.

How is there prices? Such items should sell for 1/4th to 1/3rd of what new items cost in the store. Kind of like day old bread shops you use to see.

There's some finagle in what stores are allowed to sell past date, based on how a product is stamped. Most stores don't sell anything past date, because like you, many consumers look at it and go, "it has probably gone bad." Items stamped "Expires" or "Use By" are supposed to be pulled from the shelf. That's their lifespan on the grocery shelf. Other items that say stuff like "Best Before" or "Sell By" are more like freshness dates, and can remain on the shelf, but they're not going to be as new/tasty as items still within date, and it may affect their quality.

those are NOT expiration dates. NOTHING has an actual expiration date except baby food and baby formula. ALL the rest is best if used by which is for freshness and flavor and not safety.
