What's the difference between Greek yogurt and regular yogurt?
Sandy
"Greek yogurt is made by straining out the extra whey in regular yogurt. It makes a yogurt that's thicker, creamier and tangier than regular yogurt. Plain Greek yogurt has less sugar and more protein than regular yogurt. But regular yogurt delivers twice the bone-strengthening mineral calcium. Greek yogurt also tends to be more expensive than regular yogurt, because more milk goes into making each cup"

Greek yoghurt is thick and creamy, which regular yoghurt isn't.

Greek yogurt is very thick as it has the whey removed by straining the yogurt. AND right now its the popular thing.

Depends on who is making it. Supposedly it has a higher protein content. Sometimes they just add more gelling ingredients (like agar, for instance) to make it thicker. A few years ago, there was news coverage about how SOME "Greek yogurts" were actually NOT that .. just a commercial rip-off.
