Why does Mel Gibson make such an anti English movies?

Both were about interesting periods in history - although both those movies were very inaccurate! I'm British but don't see them as 'anti-English'. We have some unpleasant history - so does every country.

LOL - and the English are universally beloved?? I worked with 2 people. One was from the UK, and the other was from Australia. They were always going back & forth about the poor bloody POMs.

In his defense, the English do not have a very good history. Not that we Americans do either.

Because he is not good in that role
