How can I better stay on task and get less distracted?

Please first let your family doctor know if you're getting so easily distracted, just to rule out certain health issues. With regard to trying to stay on task, how about eliminating common environmental distractions as the other respondent mentioned, including phone, tv, and/or cd/music, for instance, especially while studying for a test or quiz. Please feel free to be more specific about some instances of when you have such difficulty. If you're referring to studying, perhaps you may consider making "flash" cards out of "lined" index cards, especially for new terms and vocabulary, for instance. (The larger index cards, such as 4x6 or 5x7, tend to be easier on the hand and eyes.) One may also reread his or her class notes afterwards and make an outline of the textbook chapter(s). If or when studying for a test or quiz, one can make a mock-up test in the format of the professor or instructor, such as true/false, matching, fill-in-the-blank, multiple choice, and/or short essay.

Get off the internet, put down your phone, write a to do list every night before you go to bed, read it in the morning.
