Chances for bowdoin if i was deferred?

Many years of experience here - Treat a wait list as a declination and move forward. Bowdoin is one of the most selective schools in the US. If they do offer you a position, which is unlikely I think, then you can make that decision. Did you apply to the flagship university of your state? That is the fallback position,and actually quite impressive. FWIW - When applying to a post-graduate program or employment, top of the class from one of your backup schools is much better than middle or below from "hotsy-totsy" name school. Good luck to you
