Don't forget you'll be paying OUT a good 10 thousand a month for rent, high business insurance and electric bills and then add salaries and insurance for employees. You'll have to sell asian food by the ton to really make a profit.

LA eats restaurants. Overhead is a serious concern. So is the problem with trends. Top chefs with name recognition open and close restaurants there all the time. Of course, if we’re talking a small strip mall Asian place, the LA metro area is loaded with them. You’d have to provide something new to a specific market.

They probably do bring in a lot of money, but it also costs a lot of money to keep a business open in LA. They aren't necessarily ending up with huge profit margins.

Chinese restaurant have to be crowded, otherwise they have to throw away many materials next day because freshness is very important in chinese cuisine. if they keep using the old material, oh god! they are killing their business and closing up is not far ahead.
