Did I do the right thing in this situation?
Tonight, I got a gross meal from a food place. I felt bad because I called to complain and they said I could get a free meal either tonight or in the future. I ended up going to another place to eat tonight and spent money on a new meal.
Now I have credit for a free meal at that place but I felt bad that I wasted it because I threw it away and spent more money at another place. Should I have eaten the first meal? Or just have forgotten about dinner altogether?

U can eat wherever u want. Since they messed up first time it makes sense u wanted something else. Since u get credit in the future, just go back soon. Thats all.
