I making music for the first time, and idk if should I record my lyrics first and play my instruments to fit around them or vis versa. Help?

I think you'll find it easier if you have something to sing to. At a minimum, I'd want to lay down a rhythm track before the vocal. You can add lead instruments after the vocal so they can work around it. In either case, you'll find it useful to lay down a "click" track for a metronome to set the time. You delete this track from the final mix.
