In order to answer this, we'd need to SEE a picture of whatever it is that you are asking about. No pic ? No way to give any kind of answer.

No pix, no certainty, but... My guess is that you are looking at high velocity air outlets. If all you see are lined holes about 2 inches in diameter, they are for forced air, not vibrating air.

I am not standing in your house looking at you ceiling, seeing what you are talking about. Dunno holes in the cieling could be air conditioner vents, cieling speaker covers, just holes, who can say?
