Are HD ready projectors worth anything once the bulb has died and needs to be replaced?

First, only the OEM replacement bulbs are worth buying. All the off brand bulbs are trash / ripoffs. That said, older models often see a big decline in the cost of replacement bulbs from the manufacturer. This is because they are often enough custom to the projector or projector line, and carrying out of date inventory is not a big fascination for equipment manufacturers. Always check the cost of replacement bulbs when purchasing a projector. Like with the old movie projectors, bulbs burn out and need occasional replacement. If the projector is recent , and ran you some money to buy, of course keeping up with the bulb replacements is worth it. The bulbs rarely are more than a portion of the price to buy a new machine you don t need.

on ebay people are selling these things for like 200... but whatabout when the bulb needs to be replaced? is that where most of the cost is or have i understood wrong? Im wondering whether or not i should just give this Epson Tw600 away or sell it...
