Why is my ps3 accepting a disk but not playing it?
This is a ps3 slim i think. It takes the game in and accepts it but it makes in and out noises apposed to the regular smooth running sound. Then it sounds like it is moving the disk around inside. It wont show up on my tv to play. Can someone tell me what is wrong?!?! I just got it btw.

Bad laser assembly or problems in the circuits associated with it. Take it to a game repair specialist and hope for the best.

Take it back. Never buy a used electronic item without testing it first.

That sounds like a bad drive. Does it read any other disc, like a DVD movie, audio CD, Blu-Ray movie? If it doesn't read any of those, then it most likely is a Blu-Ray drive problem.

where ever you got it return it unless amazon. then return it there for a refund. Say it doesn't read on the console.
