In a road test (NYC), if you pull out of the curb, do you go to the lane right next to the curb or any further lane (like the middle lane)?

If you move striaght to the middle lane you will automatically fail.

Go and get professional tuition. You are an accident waiting to happen.

I take it you've not had any driving lessons yet. One lane at a time

When you pull away from the curb (no matter what state you're in), you always pull out into the lane that is closest to the curb. You change lanes one lane at a time - you don't cut across them.

Lane changing is done one at a time.

If the right lane is for parking, drive in the next lane over.
