Have a car but nervous go drive it?
So I’m fortunate enough to have a car, and I’m so happy but so nervous to drive it.
I’ve driven my boss’ child around in her car, and I’ve driven rental cars plenty. The issue is driving in unfamiliar areas, and on the freeway. I’ve driven on the freeway with an instructor but never alone. I once bumped into another car while leaving a parking space and that has definitely decreased my confidence in my parking ability despite lots of practice. Any tips help my nervous would be appreciated. Thanks you.

Turn your cell phone off and pay attention to driving conditions.

Learn how to use a gps, so you won't get lost. Play the radio or cd with music that can help keep you calm, but don't blast it. Keep your phone put away in a purse, so you won't be tempted. Try to practice during slower times, like early Sunday mornings, when traffic is not as hectic.
