Car feels every bump?

I replaced my struts on my 99 Camry which ran in perfect condition. Now you can feel every little bump driving down the street

If it was in "perfect condition", why did you replace the struts in the first place? Did you buy OE struts or aftermarket? If aftermarket, they may be more stiff or firm by design compared to the original.

Sounds like you installed the wrong struts. Why did you replace the struts? Did you buy some kind of "heavy duty" or "performance" or "racing" struts??

Check the tire pressure. It shouldn't be more than 34 psi. Maybe you got hard shocks, or you're so used to how worn shocks felt that the correct ones feel hard to you.

Actually, cars do NOT FEEL ANYTHING cuz they is DEAD. Your butt feels it though. That is what NEW SHOCKS FEEL LIKE. STIFF. Either get a pillow or live with the fact you have to stay awake. It ain't no Cadillac or hearse. Tires also make a difference. Also road surfaces make a difference. You are not flying, so you got to feel the road surface, underwise when will you know when you drive over somebody?

Struts vary in firmness and can soften up with age and wear. Live with it.

You bought hard hard struts, not factory struts.

The stiffer the shocks, the more responsive the steering (which is why race cars have stiff shocks). The Camry isn't designed to have the cushy ride of a luxury car, it is designed to handle well.

Rock It!

If they're gas charged struts? They are rough. Never like gas struts or shocks. I think they all are these days.

That's because your Camry now has a working suspension. If you're driving an old Camry and can't feel every little bump, that's a sign that something is wrong. It was never designed nor built to drive like a Cadillac.
