What is the maximum time limit to take the driving test after the written test for a DMV California driver license?
Hello, I'm a long term bicyclist and I'm getting my first driving license-so I do not own a car and do not know people who have "cars" etc.--so getting a car to use for the driving "test" might take awhile--does anyone know the maximum wait time to take the driving test after the written test for a California DMV driving license?

When you pass the WRITTEN test, they will give you a learner's permit that allows you to drive on public streets and highways WITH SUPERVISION. You can take your "driving test" at any time BEFORE your permit expires. If you NEED access to a car, I suggest you hire a professional driving instructor who can teach you how to drive, and then you can use HIS car for the driving test.
