After an at fault accident claim how high would the repair need to be to raise my monthly rate.?

Rate increases (surcharges) are not necessarily based on the amount that your insurance company pays out. In fact, not all accidents will result in a rate increase at all. If you are surcharged, you will know about it at renewal time. Paying for insurance monthly as opposed to 6 or 12 month terms is more expensive.

Actually just the fact that you had an at fault crash can increase the premium

I was told by my insurance company (in CA) that the limit is $1000. If it's under that it won't raise your rates.

1 cent It's the fact that you have had an accident which raises your risk factor.
