Will a tranny out of a dodge Dakota 318 Inter change with the tranny out of a dodge ram 360?

The 727 or A518 transmissions might interchange depending on the year but the flywheel/flexplates are completely different The 360/5.9 is externally balanced with weights on the flywheel/flex plate. the 318/5.3 is internally balanced on the crankshaft so you have to make sure you keep the right flexplate with the engine As the wrong one will cause dangerous vibration. Also there are some differences between the LA 318 the 5.3 magnum 318 the 1972 LA360 & the later 5.9 magnum . the older ones used a 3 speed torqueflite & the later ones used the 4 speed OD A518 with a lock up converter.
