What commission will I have to pay my mechanic shop if they sell my car for me?
thebax2006
What ever they ask or whatever you agree to.
Scott
That's something you negotiate with the garage before you agree to let them sell your car.
STEPHEN
Whatever you agree with them.
john
Whatever you agree and what you let them
nt
Whatever you two agree on.

Auctioners can charged 25%- that includes cost of advertising, display. Mechanic that isn't regular auctioner but doing a 'accomidation' for seller would go for 10% and try to get best price, would be able to tell buyer about service record and might have to put up with hassles from buyer, paperwork from state. Does Mechanic have a retail dealers license? just doing sale as favor for seller? how much hassle will mechanic have to put up with? Sale work is more than letting add 'for sale' be put next to cash register. 2% is haveing sale posted and calling for meets, 5%-105 means maybe having car at shop for potential buyers to see and having signed title available--and risking buyer do a test drive and not come back.

Every shop has their own deal, so ask them. Not us.

Whatever you agree to BEFORE you let them sell it.

That depends on what you agree to.

5% is fair to both parties.
Erik
That's between you and them.
Ron
