On a 2part money/rent receipt, who gets the yellow page and who gets s the white one?

Usually the owner keeps the original while the renter keeps the copy but it doesn’t really matter. The point is to prevent one party from altering the contract.

Are you serious? The the person paying keeps the yellow copy as a receipt. If you are face-to-face with who you are paying, you can also get a receipt from them stating how much they received, the date and their signature. For added protection.
