How many of you pay half your paycheck for health insurance?

"our monthly premiums increased by $2,000 a month plus what we were paying" You are either exaggerating your situation to make a point (most would think your premiums would decrease a bit no go up 2K) or YOU HAVE THE WRONG INSURANCE!

I saw when someone does have children or a child on their insurance with Obamacare it does lower the payment, so I believe you. Others probably aren't aware of this. It's very unfair. It makes it affordable, or more affordable for families, but it sure hasn't for me as one single person in my 60's. I have a niece who pays $300.00 a month for her, her husband & their 22 year old son. That's 1/2 of what I have to pay for myself.

The ACA means you won't.

Are you buying through the ACA health exchanges or do you get insurance through a workplace? And how could your child going OFF your health insurance increase the premiums. Normally, that would DECREASE them. No, my husband and I do not pay half our income for health insurance. However, this is why we need a national health-care program/system. We should NOT be relying on private insurers, who will use every excuse possible, do anything possible, to raise prices. I'd rather pay taxes for a national health care system. I lived in Europe and benefited from two of them. I'm also sick of Americans paying the price for the fact that foreign governments force pharmaceutical companies to keep drug prices down. We don't.
