So something weird went on with my uni. I had a fee to pay and I did but my bank showed two payments on two separate days being made?
I know it was two payments because I went over everything multiple times to ensure I wasn't just rereading things. When I called in today, the first lady was rude and hung up on me and the others had no record and didn't know what was going on. I just checked my bank and now it's shown the payment that was unauthorized as being refunded instead of paid out. (I'm enrolled in direct depositing) but it's the same date. Could this have just been a glitch? I don't think a bank account can actually change a transaction once it's listed like that but the money was definitely taken out at first (though I have no proof now.) I mean reading things wrong not rereading things. I only made the payment on the 28th but the first payment I didn't make was the 14th.

Yeah, it was a mistake and it happens. After your calls they probably looked into it and found the duplicate and reversed one of them so you'd stop calling - or maybe they just found it on their own. I once had the bank put a hold on my account for 100k (account had maybe $5000 in it) because they misread the number on the check by 2 zeros.

Sounds like the issue was resolved...

Most likey it got entered & the person doing that got interrupted, came back, thought it needed to be entered still & did it again. They they realized and reversed it. Both would show since they were both entered.
