Can i get a credit card if i only make 10$ an hour and have no credit?

Yes, get a 'secured' card which requires that you make a refundable deposit to establish your spending limit and serves as security if you fail to pay your bill. Use it often, pay off the bill every month, never miss a payment, and never be late with a payment. After a few months, your credit score will grow. Then, you can get your deposit back and convert to a normal credit card.

Yes, just find a card that is meant for beginners. Discover card has a few cards that are meant for students or first time credit card owners

Most likely. You may need a secured credit card which basically means you prepay your card up to your available limit. The advantage to this is it helps you build credit so that you can get an unsecured card later on with a higher limit. Getting a store credit card, such as Best Buy or Target, is often an easier starting point as well. Another option which can help you get to an initial card of your own is to be an authorized user on someone else's card. This means they have to have high trust in you as they are ultimately responsible for the activity. I would never consider doing this for anyone other than a child starting out and would be monitoring it very closely.

Yes; it may be easier to get a secured credit card.

See if you can start with a secured card and build some credit.

A secured card is a credit card that requires a refundable deposit in exchange for a credit limit, typically $200 or more. Most credit cards are unsecured credit cards, which means a security deposit isn't required

It's possible. You will never know, unless you apply.

You can still purchase credit card but interest rate may be high

Maybe, if you apply ONLY one time for ONLY a secured card or ONLY a Capital One card. No, if you try to apply everywhere; then you will get none.
oklatom: Sure, apply for a secured one. https

If you're an adult, you can get a credit card, period. That does not mean it's wise to get one, or that you would be able to pay the bill each month.
Judith
Sure but don't. Everyone should live within their means and pay cash. If you can't afford to pay cash then don't buy it. At $10 an hour you can't afford the interest you would have to pay. I do suggest that you spend your money on a book by Dave Ramsey on how to manage money so that you have something worthwhile to show for it. Wish it was something I looked into when I was in my early 20s. If you must then get only ONE credit card. Never get department store credit cards.
Eva
A secured card maybe. A regular one, no.

You are probably only eligible for a secured debit card.
