A CV isn't need to get into a college.

CVs are for academicians... people applying for faculty jobs and/or research positions. If you haven't even obtained a bachelors degree, a "CV" does not apply to you. You don't need a resume to apply to college.

Use professional language. What helps me - imagine you are going on a blind date with a lawyer and he wants to know what you've achieved in your life. What would you say to impress him? I treat all my professors like they are boyfriends that I'm trying to impress - and its led to me being guaranteed internship positions and straight A's and letters of recommendation in every class I ever take.
