Are you happy with where you're at?
James Blackley
Am I happy with where I'm at? Yes I am 100%, but thats not to say I don't have lots of room for improvement either, but I know that I'm going places in life. Your 26, you are still young, don't get this "woe is me" mentality going on, you seem to be successful in life, don't play the victim now lol! As for a job? Keep searching, you will find a job, or even a career, time is on your side here! I myself have struggled to find employment too, its not easy in this era to find work! But I have found a successful job! I work at a resturant at a very prominent university in Canada, mostly washing dishes, but then again I love working hard. The people I work with are all great, there isn't a hot tempered or nasty one in a bunch, everyone chips in and works as a team! The hours are great too, I work nights and I don't have to work weekends either, plus it helps im unionized too. Keep working hard and you will find something.

Yes and no. Currently 17 and off to college in a few months, actually got a full ride, but sometimes I regret it. I actually wanted to try one of the trades, but with this, I feel like I’m entitled to go to a university. I grew up in a rough neighborhood, and battle through homelessness from 7th to 11th grade. My problems were a lot worse then, but I feel like I’m at a fork on where I wanna go in life. Police Officer? Realtor? Mechanical Engineer? It all feels like some kind of test, and I’m a heavy thinker, so it’s constanlty on my mind. But then again, this is the game of life, hopefully I have no regrets :)
No Mercy
i am extremely happy where i am now and if i could make a wish i would wish that never changes. but i m much older than u and when i was your age i was very unhappy and poor. finished university, had 2 children, couldn't find a job, loser ex husband couldn't get one too. at least in your case u re not married with children, so u re the only person u need to take care of. by the way 2 of my grown up children learnt from my mistakes and they got a job while studying at university. this is what normal people should do - they get internship while studying and them it goes into a permanent job. my second child is younger than u but he has a full time job WHILE finishing university and he will be continuing there

It think it's great what you accomplished but I am really saddened by your negativity and complacency. Seeing that you graduated college between 2014-2018, most of your generation IS NOT without a job. Based on 2016 research, approximately 2.5% of college grads do not have a full time job within 12 months of graduation. This means only 1 out of 40 college grads does not have a job. - If you don't have a job because you haven't looked for a job = that's your fault and no one else's. I hope you begin your job search tomorrow and are quickly successful in finding a job.

"Most of my generation is in the same boat." Actually, that's not true. That may have been true within the first year that you graduated, but it's no longer true 5-6 years later. I think you could be happier with your life if you stopped focusing on all the negatives and start taking ownership of your own actions and your own life. At 26, it's time to stop blaming your disadvantaged childhood for all your misery. Good luck. And to answer your question, yes I'm fine where I'm at in my life. I didn't have an "easy" childhood either; both my brothers died within 2 years of each other while I was in high school, I transferred colleges twice, and suffered from anorexia during my late teens well into my mid-twenties. I don't use any of these things as excuses in life.

Yes I'm happy with myself and all the past time and where I'm at. But u know, time flies, after years and years, Im much more elder I'm not young any more. I have a career its okay not bad but not better than the precious one. But I still feel better--we must leave more space for the younger people like u. Maybe years later I will do some my own business but so far haven't plan yet. I also haven't waste my 30's. Cheers! and btw, Happy birthday!

Why would you care? Since you just rambled on and on about you, what I would say doesn't make a difference to you does it?

I'm not happy with I have. I saw nothing yet. I want to travel. See new cities, meet new people, learn different ways of thinking. Then I could be happy. Otherwise, other things mean nothing to me. I couldn't care less about a diploma and a job.
