Oily skin?

I use face washes for blemish prone skin, and immediately after I put on a moisturizer. About 2 hours later I'm SUPER oily. I try to only wash my face twice a day. Yesterday I used a hydrating face mask to see if that would help (since I read that overly is oily skin your body's way of trying hydrate it). I used it in the morning and by night time I was hardly oily at all, so I was excited and thought it worked. However, this morning I washed my face and moisturizer as normal, but its been about 2-3 hours and I'm super oily again! Does anybody know what I can do to manage the oil??

I had the same kinda problem since my oily skin had an effect on my acne and would make it worse. My mum told me the best and simplest remedy is talking a shower or washing your hair more often because sometimes when you wash your face a lot and it doesn’t make a difference that means it’s oil from your hair is making its way down to your face and she was right as it did have a positive affect. Hope that helped X

Add a toner into your skincare routine. Different toners do different things. Try to get a toner specifically for oily skin. These toners help stop oil production. I would also try a different cleanser. Look for a creamy formula, these are usually more hydrating, and look for something specifically labeled for oily skin. Oily skin and blemish prone skin are not the same. I would also get some oil blotting papers. These are really handy for in the middle of the day to help remove the excess oils from your skin. Its not washing your face though, so it doesn't mess up the balance of oils on your skin.
