Do you apply makeup sitting down or standing up?

In general, I apply it sitting down in front of my dressing table if it's my makeup for the day before I go out. I apply it sitting down if I can, as I'm more comfortable that way. However, if I'm reapplying my makeup while I'm out somewhere - for example if I'm putting lipstick and lip gloss back on after having had something to eat or drink - I may do so standing up. For example if I'm using a mirror in a public toilet to help me, I have to stand up, since it's not possible for me to sit down in that case.
