His (both of them) were caught in some kind of storm and while trying to transport he somehow switched universes..Its pretty stupid...What was a real kick was at the end of the season they reveleaved that alter verse people are sensitive to light...Which means in all the years in our universe no one ever saw him in the sun...thats retarded...it was a twist...a stupid twist that confounds an already complicated season 1.
