How much should I be paying for a decent beginners bass guitar?
And what brands should I be looking at? Preferably for rock music although I like jazz too but I'll probably use it more for rock if that makes a difference. I'm looking for a decent enough bass guitar to start off with and I don't know at what prices you would call one decent enough to start learning from?

If possible, the best approach would be to have someone who plays bass go to the store with you and help you pick one out. They can also answer your question about 💰.
