I'm tired of people saying they like my art?
Okay, I know this sounds incredibly stupid - but just hear me out. I'm the stereotypical "art kid" of my grade, and while I think I'm absolute rubbish at it, my classmates and teachers think I'm "amazing" at art. I do appreciate all of the support, but it gets annoying to hear the same thing over and over again. I try to hide my art, but when I draw for a project of something similar, one person always says something about it - drawing a whole crowd around me. They end up giving me all these compliments, only to then get mad at me because they'll "never be as good" and that I'll get a better grade at them. Yet at the same time they always wonder why I hide my art lmao. Either way, I'm really annoyed with it. Do I just try to hide it even more or what? 'Cause as someone who absolutely hates getting attention, and has a hard time receiving complements, it's driving me crazy. Thanks!

You have answered your own question. You hide the art because you can't handle being good at something and receiving compliments. You prove that you want to be able to accept compliments because of your annoyance from them. This is all in your head and i would bet you are most likely a good artist.

Your like every other artist. Whether its acting, music, or traditional art. You live it with 24 hours a day, we only see it a few times. Its more impressive to us. You are used to it.
