I want to make a huge bear suit?

And now I want to make a suit for one of my own characters, cover it in fur and probably make some lightweight armor for it (he s an armored bear) cause it d be such a cool costume.
Now there are multiple problems with that. For one I have no idea where to go for help or where to start. I want a huge bear so I need to build something similar to what the guy there did. If you have any idea how I could pull off somerthing similar please tell me.

Furries are often discriminated against, but they have their own support groups. Try and contact one.
