Novels run to a certain word length, you can find the limits (upper and lower) by googling. The length is dictated by the story and by your skill at crafting your work.

That's a difficult one, Ems. There's a lot of, you know, factors to be taken into consideration, and all that, but I'd tentatively - tentatively, I said - say about 8. Certainly no more than 12, though. Hope this helped.
