Writing books is normally done using a computer - that's how literary agents want to receive submissions nowadays. If you're a brilliant cook, you could do that, but to sell your products you'd need all sorts of certificates and hygiene checks of your kitchen, which would have to be separate from your own family kitchen. It's not as simple as it sounds!
